New Balance Men's MX20 Minimus Training Shoe Reviews
21 of 23 people found the following review helpful Great shoe but order half size larger, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: New Balance Men's MX20 Minimus Training Shoe (Apparel) Great lightweight shoe for strength training or cross fitting. I ordered half a size larger than what I would wear in a pair of asics runners and would recommend this approach for ordering the shoe. The shoe is great for squatting and dead lifting, doesn't force you onto your toes like a normal running shoe would when doing these lifts. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful No disappointment's here!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: New Balance Men's MX20 Minimus Training Shoe (Apparel) I wear a 10.5 wide to a 11 in size.In New balance I have always been true to size with a 10.5. I took a chance and went with 10.5 wide in the minimus. At first I was thinking of returning for an 11 wide. I wore a few times with a thin sock around the house. Then went for work out. The shoe broke in after about 3 work outs, then it seems that I lost part of my pairs of socksnot the shoes fault. So now I them wear bare foot. I very pleased with my choice not to return for an 11. It fits like a slipper. I feel that a extra length would have made the shoe sloppy, how ever if you prefer to wear a heavier cotton sock, 1/2 size bigger might be better. I will warn though, when doing crossfit workouts with longer sprints such as 400 x 3, you will want to wear one of you old taller healed workout shoes to avoid tearing up your calves. This did happen to me since this is my first low profile work out shoe. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Excellent for Cross Fit/Cross Training, but..., By El Sabio "RSW" (West Haven, UT) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: New Balance Men's MX20 Minimus Training Shoe (Apparel) I wouldn't wear these running or outdoors. Most of the sole is EVA foam and wouldn't hold up for an extended period. These are made for indoor cross-training use, not running. I own many pair of NB Minimus shoes and you can't go wrong.Pro's: - great fit - plenty of room in the toe box - 4mm drop is great - just the right amount of cushioning - best without socks as they have an internal liner Con's: - Don't like the EVA sole. Will not hold up outdoors if you intend to run or walk in them - Don't like the padded heel cup |
